I'm Karin Fourie, founder of 5 HATS. I've spent my career leading engineering and technology work for organizations including Disney and American Express, building complex systems that have to work for real people. Now I live in Williams, and I'm putting that experience to work here.

No. Every Williams business can be included, free, with its own listing.

Does contributing change how a business shows up?

No. No one can buy a better search result or a better spot in the directory. Contributing pays for it to exist. It does not buy placement.

What does the $20,000 cover?

Finishing the app, with Where to Eat, Shop and Events. Adding every Williams business before launch. Making it work well on any phone, including for people who need larger text or a screen reader. The first year of hosting. And getting it into visitors' hands at hotel front desks. Anything past the goal goes to whatever the community asks for next.

Is my card really safe?

When is my card charged?

Right away. Your payment is processed the moment you press Contribute, and it goes toward the build.

Is this a subscription?

No. Every contribution is a single one-time payment.

Who decides what gets built after launch?

The people who use it: Williams residents, local businesses, and the visitors the app is for. Karin will ask, listen, and build what comes up most. No single supporter decides, and the largest supporter does not get a bigger say.

Is this tax-deductible?

No. Williams In Your Pocket is built and run by 5 HATS, Karin Fourie's company. Your contribution is a payment to 5 HATS toward the build, not a charitable gift.

What if something goes wrong with my payment?
